Thankfully, the rain has stopped; but, rivers are still rising and devastation continues. Many popular landmarks, such as the Opryland Hotel and historic Second Avenue, are all flooded with several feet of water. Please remember the people of Nashville and its suburbs in your prayers today. For so many, this will take a long time to clean up and process.
Here are several videos of footage from the weekend:
My husband took this video of streets surrounding our neighborhood:
Pictures of downtown Nashville as of noon today:
Footage of the well-known Opryland Hotel:
And lastly, the phrases from Chris Tomlin's song, "God of This City," are repeating in my head:
You're the God of this City
You're the King of these people
Greater things have yet to come
Greater things are still to be done in this City.

Hi, I am shocked to see Nashville underwater,
I have not heard anything here in the UK about the adverse weather, I am equally concerned because I am coming to Nashville in June staying at opryland and going to a TV recording at the Grand Ole Opry.
How are you all coping? we here had bad floods a wee while ago and it cause such alot of damage.
Hope you and your family are ok.
Take care.
Yvonne.
I think this is just one of many examples of how our media is being censored. I'll be praying you your family and home.
Yvonne, the Opryland area has received major damage. Not sure how long it will take to repair. I'll do what I can to keep you posted.
I have not been able to pull myself away from pictures and coverage of the Nashville flooding. Surreal is the only word I can think of as well to describe seeing my hometown (and the suburban street I grew up on!) underwater. I too am surprised that it is not getting national media coverage. I have also seen so many people pulling together to help each other out and I know there is more of that going on that I am not aware of. Thinking today of several years back when we went through "Hurricane Elvis" in Memphis and how surreal that was. This has to be even harder to be living through though. Definitely praying for everyone there... I wish there was more that I could do!
I've now posted footage of the damage to Opryland Hotel.
Carmen, thanks for compiling all of these in one spot. It has been absolutely amazing to watch this happening this weekend. I'm sending my family and friends to your site to watch the videos :).
